Image Format Conversion
General Image Format Mutual Conversion
Supported Formats: ConvertET supports mutual conversion among JPEG, PNG, BMP, WebP, and GIF.
JPEG: Lossy compressed format, small file size, suitable for rich-color images (photos).
PNG: Lossless compressed format, supports transparency, ideal for icons and screenshots.
BMP: Standard uncompressed bitmap format, large file size, maintains original quality.
WebP: Modern format supporting both lossy and lossless compression, smaller file sizes at comparable quality.
GIF: Supports animation, limited to 256 colors, used for simple animations and icons.
Configurable Parameters:
Quality: Only available when converting to JPEG. Range 1-100; higher values result in better quality but larger file size.
Width: Specifies the width of the output image (in pixels). Setting to 0 maintains the original dimension.
Height: Specifies the height of the output image (in pixels). Setting to 0 maintains the original dimension.
Maintain Aspect Ratio: When enabled, adjusting dimensions automatically preserves the image’s original proportion.
SVG to Bitmap Format
Description: SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is an XML-based vector format that scales without quality loss. ConvertET supports converting SVG to bitmap formats such as PNG, JPEG, BMP, WebP, GIF, and ICO, for use in environments that do not support vector graphics.
Configurable Parameters:
Width: Specifies the width of the output image (in pixels). Setting to 0 uses the SVG’s original dimension or a default of 800 pixels.
Height: Specifies the height of the output image (in pixels). Setting to 0 calculates the height automatically based on the width to maintain the aspect ratio.
Background Color: Specifies the background color (Transparent, White, or Black).
Image to ICO Icon
Description: Converts formats like PNG, JPEG, BMP, WebP, and GIF to the ICO icon format, which is used for Windows application icons and website favicons.
Configurable Parameters:
Icon Size: Option to generate a single size (16, 32, 48, 64, 128, 256 pixels) or a multi-resolution icon containing various sizes.
